ABOUT JOHN L'S KICKIN' BOX OFFICE REPORT

Hi there everyone, I am John L. and this is my website dedicated to goofing on the movies that Hollywood and various other places put out for the public to see.  Each week I will look at the weekend box office of the top ten movies and any other significant opening of new films.  Also, I will do special movie reports in which I analyze aspects of the industry such as trends, stereotypes, clichés, historic moments, etc. 

The first part of each general report will come off the Reuters/A.P. internet wire.  It will give the basic facts of the weekend box office in a mostly non-biased matter. Full credit, as always, will be noted of the writer of this segment.  After the preliminaries, in comes my take on the weekend film fest.  The John L. section is the heart of the site.  These are the opinions that make this site unique.  It will make you laugh, groan, cry, yell, boo, and become indifferent.

I will update the site either by Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday Night.  Delays are caused by holidays delaying the box office report, my own laziness, personal vacation, or just things that happen that are unexpected.

This is my first attempt at a web page so it is pretty generic at this point, but as time goes on and I decide to put more effort into things, it will only get better. Personally, I don't like a lot of special effects in the sites I go to because it is so hard to load things like shockwave or real video or java stuff when many computers don't have such things.  I will mostly stick with some color and pictures here and there.  This site is focused on the written word content and not movie clips.  I will try to put in still shots of some of the movies discussed in the report to make things interesting.

6.  Guest shot on Roger Ebert and the Movies.

8.  Some movie clips and trailers.

9.  A part in a big budget Summer movie.

10.  A tenth idea.

This is supposed to be a fun site.  I make fun of movies more than praise them, but I will say this, no matter how bad a movie is, it is very hard work, and I do not think I can or could do any better. It's much easier to say what is wrong or right than actually do it.  Entertaining people is very difficult, and I will attempt at doing that to anyone who chances by this web site.  I thank you.  Bye for now.
